Matthew E. Moats

Mr. Moats graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science - International Relations and Comparative Politics.  After graduating, he worked in the hospitality industry and taught science courses at several schools.  Mr. Moats then entered the Univesity of Florida Levin College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2014.  While attending the Levin College of Law, he received book awards for Contracts and Legal Research & Writing. 

During law school, Mr. Moats served as a legal intern for Longwell Lawyers in Orlando where he gained experience in mediation and trial strategy.  Additionally, Mr. Moats worked for the Orange County Attorneys' Office where he was involved in assisting in both expert and lay depositions, formulating a HIPAA policy, and analyzing large-scale litigation issues.  Mr. Moats was also a legal extern at Adventist Health System/Sunbelt, Inc. where he analyzed physician contracts, researched various health law issues and assisted in medical practice acquisitions.

Mr. Moats joined Grower Ketcham upon graduation.  He primarily practices in the areas of insurance defense, health law, medical and accountant malpractice defense.
